Georgetown Steam Plant Wins 2025 American Architecture Award

We’re excited to share that our Georgetown Steam Plant project has received a 2025 American Architecture Award in the Museums and Cultural Buildings category!

This award is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, and is one of the nation’s most recognizable and long-standing awards.

This recognition, especially for community-driven unbuilt work, is very meaningful to us. The Steam Plant is older than all of us, and will outlive us – this project creates access to a one-of-a-kind landmark for community expression, empowerment, and education, and we’re excited to be part of the team shepherding the Steam Plant into its next 100 years.
