View Project: Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station

Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station Wins AIA WA Council Honor Award

“Overall, the jury was really impressed by the way this has the scale of an industrial building, and yet it doesn’t feel as though it’s an industrial building. The jury commented that the story of the landscape was really carried throughout the entire project, and this is something that the public district should be very proud of.”
– AIA WA Council Awards Committee

We’re grateful for this recognition. Facilities of this kind are unsung heroes of environmental stewardship. Typically invisible, The Station creates awareness of this work by serving as a recognizable civic landmark. This unique industrial facility does more – it is simultaneously regional and human scaled, connecting to the community it serves through transparency and storytelling, merging architecture, landscape, engineering, and public art.
